Design for Hangouts Meet on the Web
So Google yet again has done a very wonderful thing in bringing such new themes for hangout meet and hope in future too it will bring much more exciting updates for Meet and other Google apps
Most of us are familiar with the term G Suite which is the corporate version of emails from Google. Over the years G Suite has become a very popular communication and collaboration tool. For the communication part, we have Gmail, hangout chat and hangout meet. On the other hand for the collaboration part, we have the drive, docs, sheets, slides and so on. So hangout meeting comes under the communication part of G Suite.
Let’s discuss what is hangout meet?
Google has launched a video conferencing application called Meet by Google Hangouts which is used for holding meetings at ease. The web and mobile applications are the new additions in G suite. It is used for video conferences with people inside and outside of the organization. People can join Hangout Meet from a computer, mobile or using a conference room Hangout Meet kit.
Depending on the plan of G Suite being used, a limited number of participants can join a video conference in an extended capacity.
1)For G Suite Basic only 25 people can be added at a time.
2)For G Suite Business only 50 people can be added at a time.
3)For G Suite Enterprise only 100 people can be added at a time.
How to use it :
In the Hangout Meet window at the top right corner, we can see the participants who have joined, who is talking, followed by a longer list of participants’ screens, names and so on.
What’s new :
Google has recently introduced an update for Meet by Hangout with a new feel and look. The new interface includes stylish and beautiful themes that are eye capturing. There are no functionality changes but there are changes in the visual impact.
1) The fonts are updated. It has brought new fonts that use Google’s custom-designed and easy to read typefaces.
2) The controls are updated too. The bottoms, dialogs, and sidebars are updated. So it becomes easy for the users to use it and get comfortable with the interface.
3) It has brought color changes that are easy to read and prominent and it has brought visual images and symbols which are clear enough to read and depict.
This update is available on all G suite editions and these changes will take place by default.
