Google Workspace Business Plus provides the perfect solution for backup and security of existing data. It has Google Vault inbuilt in it. In Google Vault we can store and archive the data. We get 5TB of pooled storage. For security, 2-step verification can be enabled for each ID or the IDs we want, login challenges, and so on. We can use attachment compliance if we want to put a restriction on attachments.

Google retains your organisation's data for a limited grace period after cancellation, during which an admin can export it or reactivate the subscription. To avoid data loss, we recommend exporting mail, Drive files, and admin data via Google Takeout or Vault before a subscription lapses.
