Google has added a new tool called “Search Chip '' to help you refine search faster in email services. It helps you to sort and filter emails easily. It also helps you search what you are looking for, with added ease.

With this search chip, there are a variety of filters available, including narrowing down emails by senders, whether emails have or don't have an attachment, by time frame and more. You can also use these new filters to exclude certain types of search results in order to save time. 

The filters can be used in combination, helping you to narrow down on the search results. For instance, you could search an email with a colleague’s name that included a PDF that was sent the previous month, using just a few clicks on the filters.

• Admins- There are no admin controls for this feature. All having a Gmail account can use this feature.

• End Users- This feature is available by default. When searching in Gmail, you can further refine your search results by clicking on the search filter chips below the search box.
