Older Versions of G Suite Mobile and Desktop Apps Will Stop Working
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, more people are working from home and one of the most popular sets of business productivity tools is G Suite. Because of the demand, Google has been busy updating the Mobile apps And Desktop apps.

Google issued a warning that older versions of G Suite apps will stop working in August as the company strives to improve performance and security. The issues affect G Suite customers and users of mobile apps with a personal Google account and the standard version.
Google announced that versions of the apps released before December 2018 are more likely to be impacted by these changes rolling out on August 12, 2020.
In 2018, Google started making changes to the API and service infrastructure to improve performance and security. As a result of these changes, some older versions of G Suite desktop and mobile will stop working on August 12, 2020.
To ensure their workflows are not disrupted, the users should update the following Google apps to the latest versions as soon as possible:
- Classroom iOS app
- Docs Android and iOS Apps
- Drive Android and iOS Apps
- Drive File Stream Desktop App
- Gmail iOS App
- Sheets Android and iOS Apps
- Slides Android and iOS Apps
