Catch-All Workspace for G Suite

Catch-All email address that can not be assigned to a specific email address is forwarded to Specific email account. If the senders enter an invalid name before @domainname, that mail will be received by Catch-All email address. This prevents the loss of important emails.

Catch-All Workspace for G Suite

What is Catch-All?

Catch-All is an email account that is specified to receive all messages that are addressed to an incorrect email address for a domain.  For example, catchall could be defined as all@domainname.com.

The catch-all functionality has been created for facilitating users' access to a certain mailbox. If the catch-all is activated for a certain mailbox on a domain, it allows for that mailbox to catch all email messages sent to non-existing addresses that contain the domain name in their syntax.

One benefit of the catchall is that it is like having unlimited aliases. One shortcoming of a catchall is that more Spam may be sent to your domain since messages are not bounced but accepted by default to non-defined email recipients.

How does it work?

You have three email addresses set up for catchall.com, info@catchall.com, sales@catchall.com, web@catchall.com. You can set up info@catchall.comas a catch-all email account. Then, any mail sent to ops@catchall.com (any invalid email address) is sent to the catch-all account ( info@catchall.com ).
