New Password Security Setting

Now you can check the user password strength and can force them to have a strong password.
Also, you can set up a password expiry for all the users or organization basis.
SECURE USER ACCOUNT:
A strong Password required—You can force users with weak passwords to change them.
Prevent users from reusing old passwords
Enforce User to change the password
You can set up expiry of a password according to your policies. If you set up a password change enforcement before 30 days, it will ask the users 4 times to change the password near to the expiration. If they still won’t change the Password, then they will be forced to change the password in the next login.
PASSWORD REQUIREMENTS:
Go to Security Password management From the Admin console dashboard,
Click on the more control option in the bottom to see Security on the dashboard.
You can Select the organizational unit where you want to set the password policies.
For all users, select the top-level organizational unit. Else, select another organization to make settings for its users.
Check the Enforce strong password box in the password strength section.
There are Algorithms and rules to determine whether a password is strong, including a review of common or previously used passwords.
You can set the password between 8 and 100 characters.
To enforce users to change their password, check the Start password policy enforcement at next sign-in box.
Upon not checking this option, users with weak passwords can access your organization’s Google services until they decide to change their password.
Allow password reuse box to allow users to reuse an old password.
Select the period of time after which passwords expire in the expiration section.
Select Override to keep the setting the same, even if the parent setting changes.
If it is already Overridden, choose an option:
- Inherit—Reverts to the same setting as its parent.
- Save—Saves your new setting.
