This article will guide you how to Migrate your VM from AWS to GCP.

 

Step 1:   

First, you need to sign into your Google VM Migration Services with your G Suite account.

Follow this link and you will see the following webpage: https://gcp.cloudendure.com

 

 

Click Sign in with Google and enter your G Suite Credentials to login for the following Migration Process




Step 2:

You will see the following webpage

 

 

Now, you need to set up your Migration project and for this click on the Setup and Info tab on the left side. You will see the following Webpage, where you need to enter your project ID and JSON Private Key to complete the Live Migration Project Setup Process.

 

Step 3:

We need to Generate the JSON Private Key and for this first go to your Console by Clicking the following link: https://console.cloud.google.com.

Then from the Navigation Menu go to APIs and Services and click on the Credential Tab on the Left side. You will see the following Webpage.

 

 

Now, Click on the Create Credential option and from the Pop-Up Click on the Service Account Key Option. The following Webpage will appear

 

 

Then click on the Service Account option and click on the new Service Account option from the drop-down. Give any name in the Service Account Name option.

 

 

Now, give the role as Project Owner and click create. A .json file will be download to your local.

 

  

Step 4:

In the Next step, go to the VM Migration Webpage and then go Setup and Info tab and then click on the “Click here to choose file” option.

 

 

Now, select your .json file and in the Google Cloud Project ID option enter your Project ID and then click Save. You will be taken to the next menu where you will configure the project details according to your need. After you complete creating your Project for live Migration you will go to the Machines Tab. You will see a similar webpage.

 

 

Step 5:

Now, go to your AWS panel and execute the CloudEndure Agent Installer Command in the SSH. And then again execute the Installer command in the SSH.

Then you will see the Live Migration Process has started.

 

Step 6:

While the Live Migration process runs, you see a box with name “Blueprint” where you need to select the machine types and other configurations. After saving the configuration, your migration will continue.

 

Step 7: 

After the migration process is completed go to the networking panel and configure your Firewall rules for the new imported VM.
