Google Tasks to Become an Application of G Suite Core Service
This article notifies the inclusion of Google Tasks into the ‘Core Service’ of G Suite from June 28th.

Google recently revealed that its Tasks (Google Tasks) app will qualify to become part of G Suite ‘core service’ from June 28th onwards.
Google Tasks, if we recall, has existed in something of a low limelight place for quite a few years. It has served as a to-do list application within Gmail and has not undergone many updates or expansions over time. But just a few months back, with the major Gmail upgrade, Google finally announced that Tasks would become a first-class citizen within its broader product lineup.
This implies that there is now a dedicated Tasks mobile application for G Suite users. Also, more importantly, Tasks was integrated into G Suite, meaning users can create a to-do list item by dragging an email over from Gmail, with the event due dates automatically added to Google Calendar, for instance.
Provided that Google Tasks was already available across all G Suite users, including it in the “core service” within the business software solution product (G Suite Business) would not modify all that much on the surface. But it does imply that Tasks is now being given equal importance alongside the likes of Drive, Docs, Sheets, Keep and Gmail. This means Tasks will receive the same level of attention as its long-established G Suite apps.
Google, in its blog post, stated that “As a G Suite core service, Tasks will be covered under your existing G Suite agreement and will offer the same technical support and service level commitments as any other core service.”
Additionally, because Tasks was already available to G Suite users as a feature, it will be activated by default to all of them as well. Also if users want, they can deactivate it through the usual admin console controls.
So Google Tasks would be becoming a part of an already multi-featured G Suite solution that helps organizations to work collaboratively in a smart fashion. This will surely enhance the experience of business enterprises in the realms of effectively organizing day-to-day work-related activities.
