Latest G- Suite Updates with Admin Quarantine Feature and Addition of 12 SAML Integrated Apps
This article covers the recent two major updates released by G Suite for enhancing admin users access, in the realms of Data Protection and Single Sign-On Support.

Admin Quarantine Update
Thanks to the latest G Suite update, admins can easily set up and manage quarantine policies to divert potentially risky emails. They can recheck those emails and take necessary actions to protect their business organizations as well as respective databases.
Admin Quarantine helps organizations prevent spam, minimize data losses and protect confidential or sensitive information from getting exposed to hackers.
The G Suite team have made it much easier to view why the emails have been quarantined directly in the Admin Quarantine interface. This information will make it faster for admins to revisit emails and also help in identifying the right action that needs to be taken.
Following are the items that Admins will be able to view:
- The admin initiated rule that caused the email to enter Admin Quarantine
- G Suite Admins with “Access Admin Quarantine” admin privileges can access this new information in the Admin Quarantine
This update will be available in all G Suite editions and the full rollout for feature visibility will take a time period of 1-3 days.
Twelve Third Party Apps Integrated in G Suite
Another big update from G Suite will let the users access all of G Suite Enterprise cloud applications, including Admin console for admins after signing in just once. This can be achieved with Single Sign-On (SSO) option.
The two most popular enterprise SSO standards, OpenID Connect and SAML are supported by Google. Also, there are various other apps with pre-integrated Single Sign-On support. They are present in the G Suite third-party apps catalog already.
Developing on their recent update launches, Google Suite is implementing SAML integration for 12 additional apps. They are listed below :
1. Black Duck
2. Brightcove
3. Chartio
4. Duo
5. Hootsuite
6. Jenkins
7. Jostle
8. Mango Apps
9. SumTotal
10. TextMagic
11. Veracode
12. Zinc
Besides this inclusion of pre-integrated SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) applications, G Suite will also support the installation of “Custom SAML Applications”. This implies that admins can install any third-party application that supports SAML.
The main advantage of a pre-integrated application is that the installation process is much easier.
This new addition is also applicable to all G Suite editions and the gradual rollout time period for feature visibility can take upto 15 days.
