Exporting Data Backup of Office 365 Mailbox in PST File Format
This article shows you how to export an Office 365 mailbox in PST file format from Office 365 Admin Panel to your device.

This article shows you how to export an Office 365 mailbox in PST file format from Office 365 Admin Panel to your device.
It requires the following steps:
First Login to your Office 365 Admin Panel
1.You must have the access of the office 365 admin panel.
2.Open your Browser and Login to your Office 365 account at https://login.microsoftonline.com/
3.On the left hand side of the screen,you will get an option for the App launcher. If you click on the App launcher you will get the Admin icon as shown below.
4.After Login to the admin panel, at the left hand navigation pane you will see Show all options. Click on that and open the Security option.
5.Click on the Permissions and open the eDiscovery Manager.
6.Scroll down and Click on the Edit option of eDiscovery Administrator.
7.You have to click on the edit option under the “Selected eDiscovery Administrators”.
8.You have to add the user id which is having admin access in Office 365( it means your Admin user Id).
9.After Adding the user id click on Done and then Save.
10.The user id will be showing in eDiscovery Administrator.
Note : You have to add the user id in eDiscovery Administrator only once. If you have already added, then you can directly start from #12.
11.Open your Office 365 admin panel in Internet explorer or Microsoft Edge.
Note : Microsoft Edge should be updated. If you use other browsers, then you can not Export your mailbox data file.
12.Open the Security option and Click on the Search option. Open the Content Search option.
13.Click on the New Search option and Scroll down, then Uncheck the Add App Content for On-Premises Users.
14.Click on the Modify.
15.Click on Choose users, groups, or teams at the right hand side.
16.Click on Choose users, groups, or teams box below the Exchange email.
17.Type the Users Name, Groups Name or Teams Name Which you want data backup and Search them. Once the Search is completed then you will get the users, groups and teams name below.
18.Click on the Check box and select the choose option.
19.Click on the Done, Save and Save & run.
20.You will get a Box where you have to create the name of the Backup mailbox file. Click on Save.
21.It will be searching so that you have to wait until the search is complete. Once the search is complete you will get More option on the top of the content row. Click on the More option, you will get two options. Choose Export results.
22.Choose the Output options as per your requirement. Click on the Export.
23.Once the Exports is complete click on the Exports option and Refresh in Exports page and you will get the Backup mailbox file name.
Note- If you have Multiple files in Exports and you did not get the latest one, then type the file name on Search option.
24.Choose the Backup mailbox file and click on the Download Result.
25.One Export tool will be installed automatically and it will ask you to paste the export key that will be used to connect with the source. Paste the key and choose the location in your device where you want to export the backup mailbox PST file and Click on start.
