The New Features of Google Earth
Google Earth has recently launched a fresh new version of its virtual program explorer which is packed with a set of exciting features.
Features :
1) Google Earth Voyager: Its interactive, Informative and many guided tours.
The voyager will help you a lot in going through various interactive guided tours where the information has been gathered by the famous storytellers, scientists and travelers.
For eg: one can go to the feature of checking out the wildlife safari park in Nairobi. Or a journey to the major habitats on this planet i.e islands, mountains, deserts and valleys.
2) 3D button: see the images from any angle.
A 3D button will appear on the corner once you are viewing a location which will give you a Birds eye view of the various historic locations of the world.
3) Explore History and Civilization
Since there is rapid pace at which population growth is taking place in the world Google earth helps keep a track. The History Imagery tool helps a lot in keeping a track of the population growth. It not only shows the population but also displays the new structures built on property sites.
4) Follow the Sun using the progression of light
One of the most interesting tool is the Sun tool This tool also shows you a slider at the upper left corner of the screen, but this time when you slide it over to the left, you’ll see the time change rather than the date. As you glide back in time, you’ll see sunset and sunrise take place.
Using this tool we can observe the shadows slowly disappearing as the sun will rise over the horizon and will cover the entire region with its rays.
Mostly Hunters and fisherman could use the same to calculate both sunrise and sunset during a certain time of the year.
5) Cent percent accurate distances:
Online maps give us the general rules in order the judge the distance but it’s nothing compared to the original map which gives us the exact distance between various locations.Where as in Google Earth we can do the same by using the Tools->Ruler where one needs to just click on the regular intervals on the way so that one can trace out the curves and nooks on the path that will follow.
