Shared Mailbox Migration to GSuite
Shared mailbox are generally group addresses in legacy systems and are used to migrate to G Suite during the deployment phase. Shared mailboxes are called groups in G Suite terminology.

Prepare for migration
● Export the DL Outlook data to a PST file
● Prepare the folder structure for Migration on the migration machine
● Create a userlist for the respective users to which accounts the PST file will be migrated
Procedure for migration
● Rename the mailbox in AD
● Create a DL in AD with the original shared mailbox name
● Run the AD Sync tool and verify the changes
● Initiate the data migration
Changes to be made in member mailbox
● Setup multiple mailboxes in User mailbox using multiple inbox feature in Gmail.
● Educate user to set up FILTERS to the email coming from the Group and to CC the group email id in all Outgoing emails
Groups access configuration
● Go to Admin Console → Groups and select the Group for which you want to change settings
● Click on Access settings and it will open a new tab and the users can be added further into the group.
