How to Increase Productivity with Gmail?
Many a times it has been noticed that people don’t utilize Gmail to its fullest and end up with the traditional way of using it by sending and receiving mails. As part of a small business, you rely on email and your messages contain different types of mails like invoices, business meetings, client’s request and much more. But when you try to search any of these, you end up spending a huge amount of time. So the best way to tackle these, is to organize your Gmail in a much more convenient way.
Once you start experimenting with your Gmail you will come to know that there are some settings which can be highly useful, some of them are mentioned below:

Labels
Labels are like folders wherein you can group your messages to a particular folder/label.
Tabs
Gmail provides predefined categories of Tabs
Primary - In this tab you’ll receive most of your messages and once you have logged in to your gmail account this tab will be open.
Social- All the notifications related to social media will be filtered in this tab and thus there will be no fuss of managing your social media messages in inbox.
Promotions- All the promotional emails will be redirected to this tab.
Updates- In this tab you’ll receive mails of confirmation for business meetings, etc.
Forums- Mails which are sent to a group mail id will be reflected in this.
Hence Gmail automatically sends messages to the category of tabs which they belong to.
Inbox Settings
Gmail Inbox can be converted to a classic inbox, there are certain settings through which one can organize their mails in a better way.
Step 1. Go to settings and then click on inbox.
Step 2. You can change your inbox type with given 4 options
Important first
Starred first
Unread first
Priority inbox
Important first- In this your messages will be categorized in which all the mails will be reflected on top which gmail considers as important and everything else will appear below.
Starred first- All the messages which have been starred will appear on top and everything else will be at the bottom.
Unread first- The messages which have been unread will be at the top and rest of the mails will be at the bottom.
Priority inbox- In this option your inbox gets divided into 4 sections, at the top, all the unread and important messages will appear, below which all the starred messages, the third section is left empty for you to customize and the fourth/bottom will have everything else.
